At Fontana Christian Church, we believe that nothing shapes a follower of Jesus more than regular time in God’s Word. Scripture is the foundation of our faith, the story that defines who God is, who we are, and how we are called to live. In 2026, we want to journey through the entire Bible together so that our whole church family can grow in unity, depth, and spiritual maturity.
Reading the Bible in a year isn’t about checking boxes or hitting a goal—it’s about creating space for God to speak. When we devote ourselves daily to Scripture, the Holy Spirit uses that time to form our hearts, strengthen our faith, and align our lives with God’s mission in the world.

Our Goals for the 2026 Bible Reading Plan
1. To Encourage Daily Engagement with God’s Word
We want every person—kids, teens, and adults—to encounter Scripture regularly. A daily rhythm helps us build a lifelong habit of walking closely with God.
2. To Build Unity as a Church Family
There is something powerful about knowing that the same passage you are reading in the morning is being read by others in your church that day. Shared reading builds shared conversations, shared encouragement, and shared growth.
3. To Understand the Big Story of Scripture
The Bible is one unified story that points us to Jesus. Reading through the whole narrative helps us see how God has been working from Genesis to Revelation—and how He continues to work today.
4. To Equip Believers for Life and Ministry
Scripture strengthens us for every season of life. Whether you’re facing joy, hardship, decisions, or doubts, God’s Word gives wisdom and hope. A year in the Bible prepares us to love and serve others with confidence and compassion.
5. To Create Opportunities for Conversation and Discipleship
Reading together opens the door for Bible discussions at home, in small groups, and across generations. It’s a simple way to foster discipleship in our church.
6. To Draw Us Closer to Jesus
All of Scripture ultimately points to Christ. Our prayer is that this plan helps each of us know Him more personally, follow Him more faithfully, and delight in His grace more deeply.
